Neo-Victorian Vampire gown (Simplicity 4244)
I made this dress as a Halloween costume one year; I planned to go as "Mina Harker" from the classic book Dracula. There is a short dress diary for this costume.
This is an antique single-action Empire style Naderman harp that my husband bought for me a few years ago. (Naderman was the maker of Marie Antoinette's harp.) It's in pretty serious need of restoration, and I can't play it in its currect condition, but it's a really beautiful instrument and I can't wait to have it restored. In the meantime it sure looks great in the costume photos! I love the details at the base which show a mythological unicorn / seahorse / hippocamp creature.
